Live Classroom is a great tool for teachers to engage students in real-time learning. However, we understand that things may not run as smoothly as expected sometimes.

In this article, you will learn how to deal with any issues you may run into with regards to Live Classrooms. Our aim is to make sure your teaching experience on Coding Rooms is as smooth as possible.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Check your firewall

This mainly applies to school/public connections but may also apply for home networks as well. Contact your network administrator and request the following list of domains to be whitelisted on the network.

2. Check your internet connection

Check internet connection speed - there are several free internet speed test such as Speedtest.

These steps also can help:

  • Close down background apps that might be using Internet, like Dropbox

  • Are you using a VPN? Be sure to contact your IT department.

  • Try another computer or mobile device.

  • Try a different network.

3. Check your browser updates

  1. Reload your browser.

  2. Try using an Incognito window, or Private mode.

  3. Quit and reopen your browser. (On a Mac, hold Command (or Cmd) ⌘ + Q for a few seconds to quit Chrome.)

  4. If those don't work:

  5. Try another browser (we suggest Chrome).

  6. Reboot your computer.

Make sure your current browser has the latest updates installed. We also recommend using Google Chrome for the best performance.

4. Check your computer performance

Check to see if you have multiple idle tabs / applications open in the background. This may slow down your computer leading to poor performance!
